The MFT department is focusing and design on steel fabrication such as sheet metal working and piping components as its concept for the term of "Metal Fabrication" that are regularly used in oil and gas industry and heavy industrial plant. These aspects include:- Drawing design (Auto Cad, Cad/Cam) CNC programming Plate and sheet development software Sheet metal and pipe patern development Manufacturing concept Fabrication technology Production technology Management Piping drawing Pressure vessel drawing
At the end of the course, the prospective of MFT graduates also called "technologist" shoulde be able to construct and fabricate from raw material sheet metal plate or pipe until computed to finish product as requested by the client. Workshop and practical session introduce the student to demonstrate with proper operation technique at machine tools. The fabrication machine tools include:- CNC turret punching CNC press brake Hydraulic roll bending Hydraulic section bending Shearing and plasma outing Welding machine such as TIG, MIG, SMAW
