Employee training is an inevitable for any organization to seek and improve employees' job performance in order to change their skills, knowledge attitude, or behaviour. A study shows that on the average years, U.S businesses spend $40 billion a year on training programs to build workers' skills. In Malaysia alone, the government will continue to give emphasis on increasing the quality and quantity of skilled manpower. An allocation of RM319 million has been provided under Ministry of Human Resource for this purpose. SMIs will have an additional RM322 million for reinvestment (Budget2004). Realizing this nation needs, Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Insitute(UniKL MFI) proposes 30 additional new training programs that will meet the new and future requirements of the industries in assisting their progressive development and dynamic evolution processes.
